UNITED KINGDOM The Olympic and Paralympic Games are being hosted in London. For organizational and security purposes, major restrictions will be imposed on traffic and access to the various Olympic venues this summer. This is likely to result in some delivery delays to these areas from July 15th until September 13th.

CHINA Severe flooding in Beijing and surrounding areas this past weekend resulted in a number of flight delays and cancellations, and disruptions to public transportation. Services are likely to be affected.

URUGUAY Industrial action continues in Uruguay and delays to inbound mail services are ongoing.

NIGERIA The IPS server, which serves as the backbone for data transmission and tracking for the Nigerian Postal Service, went down on July 18th.  The Nigerian Postal Service is working to restore it, and will provide an update once the problem has been resolved.
